Tiffany attended a conference in Atlanta and also visited the CNN Center.
Benjamin attended a conference in Atlanta. While there, he stayed in the College Park area, visited the CNN Center, and toured the Georgia Aquarium.
We drove north along the coast to Savannah where we toured Fort Pulaski National Monument, which was celebrating the 154th anniversary of the siege of the fort by having re-enactors, weapons demonstrations, and more. After some brief hiking around the fort, we drove back to Savannah, saw the historic downtown area, and then crossed the Talmadge Memorial Bridge to South Carolina.
A few days later we drove to Atlanta and toured the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library, where among other things, we saw the president’s Nobel Peace Prize. We also visited the Martin Luther King National Historic Site which included the Ebenezer Baptist Church and King's tomb. Next, we toured the World of Coca-Cola where we saw the vault that contains the secret recipe and we sampled drinks from around the world.
We walked through Centennial Olympic Park and rode the Sky View Atlanta Ferris wheel for some amazing views of downtown. While enjoying a meal at Ted’s Montana Grill we even saw scenes of a movie being filmed. We finished our visit by seeing the Georgia State Capitol before driving to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to fly home.
